It could be a bumper year for new features in the JavaScript language in 2026, with some very large proposals finally maturing and the usual mix of technical improvements and new options to make life easier for developers.

The final list of what’s making it into the language will include all of the ECMAScript projects that reach the Stage 4 milestone by March 2026.
