Samsung: Reports That We’re Exiting Consumer SSD Market Are ‘False’

Samsung is not getting out of the SSD market anytime soon.

Earlier this week, YouTube channel Moore’s Law is Dead claimed that several sources had informed them that Samsung would be phasing out its SATA SSD production and reallocating its production lines toward NAND Flash and DRAM products for AI data center projects. They also suggested Samsung’s upcoming Pyeongtaek Fab 4 would be refocused on the kind of DRAM that data centers require.
