Indonesia becomes the first country to temporarily block access to Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot, citing concerns over the risk of the tool being used to generate pornographic imagery.

The block was put in place on Saturday, making Indonesia the first country to formally restrict access to Grok – the generative AI product built by Musk’s startup xAI and integrated into the X platform.

Officials said the decision followed a series of complaints and international warnings about the misuse of Grok’s image-generation tools to create sexualised deepfakes….
