AI startup Anthropic on Wednesday launched a new initiative called the Anthropic Institute to study and address the societal challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI).
Led by cofounder Jack Clark in his new role as head of public benefit, the institute will combine research from multiple teams to analyse the economic, social, security, and governance implications of powerful AI systems.
