Microsoft has unveiled Microsoft Copilot, an AI companion designed to elevate productivity and reshape the way individuals engage with technology. The company stated, “We are stepping into a new era of AI that fundamentally alters our relationship with and benefits from technology. Through the convergence of chat interfaces and advanced language models, users can now make natural language requests, and the technology is intelligent enough to respond, generate content, or take action.”
Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft, expressed, “At Microsoft, we envision this as having a copilot to assist in navigating any task.” Copilot will leverage web and work data to offer more effective assistance while prioritizing privacy and security. This experience will be accessible in Windows 11, Microsoft 365, web browsers such as Edge and Bing, as well as through an application. The initial rollout is set to commence with the upcoming release of Windows 11 on September 26.
