Google is making these changes in Germany after antitrust investigation

Share via:

Google has agreed to modify its user data practices in the EU to comply with antitrust laws and end a German investigation. The German cartel office had issued a charge sheet to Google in January, claiming that users were not provided with enough options to choose how their data is used. Google’s proposed commitments aim to give users more control over their data and limit the company’s market dominance. The changes will apply to over 25 Google services, excluding certain ones that are subject to the Digital Markets Act.
