ClearFeed, a conversational support platform for enterprises, recently raised $2.7 million in a seed funding round led by Peak XV’s Surge, with participation from 8VC and other angel investors.

The startup, which was founded in September 2021 by Ankit Jain, Joydeep Sen Sarma, and Lalit Indoria, would use the raised capital towards fueling its next stage of growth across product development and go-to-market teams.

What does ClearFeed do?

ClearFeed said businesses are increasingly adopting digital infrastructure, especially chat services like Slack and Microsoft Teams, as remote work becomes more prevalent.

Slack Connect, used by over 100,000 organizations, and Microsoft Teams, which has over 300 million monthly users, are transforming communication within and between companies. However, these chat platforms often lack the necessary structure and tracking systems for larger teams, leading to challenges in managing high volumes of queries and coordinating between departments, the startup said.

ClearFeed addresses these issues by utilizing AI models to monitor inquiries and escalate requests on Slack and Microsoft Teams, enabling various departments to communicate smoothly and service teams to track and respond to requests efficiently.

Enabling smooth integration with other platforms

Since its inception, the company has steadily enhanced its product features, adding triage channels, one-click ticket filing, and live two-way data syncing. It now smoothly integrates with eight major software tools, including Zendesk, Jira, FreshDesk, HubSpot, Github, Linear, Intercom, and Salesforce.

ClearFeed witnesses strong revenue growth

Since the start of 2023, ClearFeed claims it has recorded 10x growth in revenue and doubled its headcount in the U.S. and India.

The startup also claims that, in the last quarter, over 100 organizations, including prominent companies like Teleport, Chronosphere, CastAI, and Coreweave, have used ClearFeed, impacting over 10,000 users worldwide.

“Customer service support and communication within organizations is undergoing a rapid transformation, particularly with the significant volume of conversations occurring on platforms like Slack daily. Sifting through these conversations and requests can be time-consuming and unproductive for organizations,” said Joydeep Sen Sarma, Co-Founder of ClearFeed.

“ClearFeed is a platform that can elevate the customer service experience and streamline work discussions efficiently. We’re thrilled to embark on the next phase of our growth, fueled by the fresh funds, as we look to introduce more product features,” Sarma added.
