Canada bans these Chinese and Russian apps from government devices

Canada has banned apps from Chinese and Russian companies on government-issued mobile devices due to privacy and security concerns. The banned apps include Tencent-owned WeChat and applications made by Moscow-based Kaspersky. The Treasury Board of Canada stated that these apps pose an “unacceptable level of risk to privacy and security.”
