Google Pay, one of India’s top UPI payment apps, warns users about the risks of using screen sharing apps while making transactions. These apps allow others to see and control the user’s device, potentially leading to fraudulent activities such as making transactions on their behalf, accessing card details, and using OTPs to transfer money. Google Pay advises users to close all screen sharing apps before using their payment service and never download third-party apps instructed by anyone posing as a Google Pay representative.
