Bitsila, a prominent seller on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) marketplace, has secured pre-seed funding from Antler and Phanindra Sama, co-founder of Redbus. Founded by Dasharatham Bitla, Sooryah Pokkali, and Likhma Ram, the startup boasts a successful track record with Bitla Software, the largest bus operator software in India, commanding a 70 percent market share and processing 80 million transactions annually. Bitla Software was later acquired by MakeMyTrip.

Functioning as a Technology Service Provider (TSP) on ONDC, Bitsila accelerates the establishment of an online presence for non-digital sellers, enabling them to create branded websites and mobile apps to enhance customer reach. The platform supports a diverse ecosystem, catering to large retail houses, brands, logistics service providers, online retail aggregators, and entrepreneurs seeking participation as sellers on ONDC.

Bitsila offers seamless integration with over 20 platforms, including popular e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and channel managers such as Vinculum, Easyecom, and Urbanpiper. Integrations extend to ERP and PoS partners, including Petpooja, Dotpe, Wondersoft, and 1Pharmacy networks. These integrations facilitate a swift and efficient transition for sellers to go online by onboarding them on ONDC.

Dasharatham Bitla, Founder and CEO of Bitsila, emphasized the transformative potential of ONDC, stating, “Our journey on ONDC parallels the UPI moment for digital commerce, poised to rewrite traditional business rules.” The company aims to empower over 500 large enterprises as network participants within the next 18 months, facilitating a million merchants on their digital commerce journey through ONDC.

Nitin Sharma, partner at Antler in India, expressed enthusiasm for ONDC’s potential to revolutionize e-commerce in India, noting that Bitsila is a crucial player in the platform’s growth. Currently, sellers on ONDC are processing close to 1.6 lakh transactions per day, and Bitsila stands out as the fastest-growing and largest seller onboarding platform for ONDC.

Bitsila operates as an omnichannel and hyperlocal commerce platform, positioning itself as the largest seller marketplace on ONDC. With seamless integration across various platforms and POS providers, Bitsila empowers businesses to establish a rapid online presence on ONDC, creating branded websites and mobile apps to expand their customer reach.
