Garuda Aerospace, backed by Indian cricketer and ex-captain of Indian cricket team MS Dhoni, has launched its first-ever drone for photography and cinematography, called Droni. This marks the company’s entry into a market that has been dominated by DJI drones for several years.
Garuda Aerospace is the first company to have dual certifications from DGCA for both Manufacturing and Training in both Small and Medium Categories.The company’s drones make up 25% of the total drones in India and are the most-flown drones in the country. A Garuda Aerospace drone takes off every 30 seconds across the nation.
Droni is a personal drone in foldable quadcopter nano that weighs less than 250 gms and can fit easily in pocket. It has 11 intelligent flight modes, including follow-me, circling, fading, soaring, time-lapse, tail flicking, broad and straightforward shooting, and more. Droni also features target management, level 7 wind resistance, and intelligent voice somatosensory control, allowing easy one-hand control. Its three-axis mechanical stabilised pan-tilt ensures stable shots.
Droni’s boasts a 48 MP sensor with a wide-angle lens, optical flow positioning, and an impressive 60 minutes of flight time. Despite being feature-rich, Droni is easy to use and has a seamless user interface.
Garuda Aerospace’s Droni drone is priced at an MRP of Rs 1,40,000 but is currently available exclusively on Amazon at an introductory price of Rs 85,000. The drone was also launched on the social media handles of investor Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings.
