Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled NITI Aayog’s digital public infrastructure platform ‘NITI For States’, aimed at enhancing policy and governance. Alongside, he inaugurated the ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ to facilitate effective decision-making. “The ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ will enable visualization and engagement with insights, sharing of information and knowledge to enable effective in-person decision-making,” said an official statement.

The platform integrates a vast repository of knowledge products spanning various sectors and themes. It encompasses 7,500 best practices, 5,000 policy documents, over 900 datasets, 1,400 data profiles, and 350 NITI publications. These resources cover sectors like agriculture, education, energy, health, and more. “It will also support district collectors and block-level functionaries by giving them access to innovative best practices across various states and Union Territories,” the statement added. The ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ serves as an interactive space for visualizing data, trends, best practices, and policies, facilitating a holistic assessment of problem statements.

“It also allows users to interact through voice-enabled AI, and connect to multiple stakeholders through video conferencing,” stated the release. The initiative aims to create a plug-and-play model for replication at different administrative levels. Several government organizations, including iGOT, NDAP, and NeGD, collaborated to develop and integrate the platform. “National E-Governance Division (NeGD) has extended support to develop the Viksit Bharat Strategy Room,” highlighted the statement.
