Expected to be India’s largest startup event, Startup Mahakumbh, aims to bring together startups, investors, incubators, accelerators and industry leaders from several sectors under one roof. Supported by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the event will host 10+ thematic pavilions.
To foster collaborations and knowledge sharing within the B2B space, the event will host a B2B and manufacturing pavilion that will be led by Vidhya Ananthakrishnan, chief of staff, investment team, Accel.
Startup Mahakumbh is organised by ASSOCHAM, Nasscom, Bootstrap Incubation & Advisory Foundation, TiE, and the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA), and will be held from March 18-20 in New Delhi
The B2B pavilion is expected to grab a lot of interest from key industry stakeholders, industry observers and sectoral enthusiasts. The reason is simple — India’s B2B industrial market is at the cusp of a digital revolution, with projections for the eB2B indicating a growth to $90-$100 Bn in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) by 2030, at a CAGR of 40-45%, according to Redseer estimates.
“India’s B2B and manufacturing sectors are undergoing significant transformation propelled by factors like China+n sourcing strategy (‘n’ symbolises a variety of alternative sourcing and manufacturing hubs within Asia), Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan and robust government support. Our B2B startups have proven profitability and resilience with strong business models, and as India progresses, infrastructure and consumption demand are set to rise, boosting domestic and global consumption,” Ananthakrishnan said.
She added that innovators in the B2B and manufacturing sectors will, therefore, play a crucial role in realising the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
This is where the B2B pavilion has a big role to play in connecting young entrepreneurs with expert innovators. Attendees will get an opportunity to take a sneak peak into upcoming cutting-edge innovations within the B2B space.
“We are excited to meet innovators and the next generation of disruptors at Startup Mahakumbh,” Ananthakrishnan said.
