Earlier on Saturday, Delaporte, who had taken over as the Wipro CEO on July 6, 2020, quit the company. He had joined Wipro from the Capgemini group, where he had also served as the CEO and member of its executive board during his 25-year-long stint.
Delaporte’s exit comes at a time when Wipro has been criticised for continued underperformance. The company has also seen a series of high-profile leadership exits. In September last year, the company’s chief financial officer Jatin Pravinchandra Dalal had stepped down and was replaced by Aparna C Iyer.
