In a significant stride towards revolutionizing healthcare sanitation, BHS Robotics, a startup incubated by the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre, IIT Kanpur (incubatoriitk), proudly announces the successful pilot deployment of its Intelligent Multipurpose Disinfection Robot (IMDR) at two renowned medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

The deployment of the IMDR at King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, on March 13th, 2024, marked a monumental milestone in the fight against infectious diseases in healthcare settings. The initiative, supported by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Green Gas Limited, Lucknow, under the thematic area of healthcare and medical technology, underscores BHS Robotics’ unwavering commitment to leveraging innovation for the betterment of society.

Shri Narendra Bhooshan, Principal Secretary, Science & Technology, UP Government, graced the occasion at KGMU, joined by esteemed dignitaries including Prof. Soniya Nityanand, Vice Chancellor, KGMU, heads of departments, senior officials from Green Gas Limited, Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, CEO of SIIC-IIT Kanpur, and Mr. Piyush Mishra, COO of SIIC-IIT Kanpur, alongside the visionary founders of BHS Robotics Dr. Madhu Vasepalli and Ayush Singh. The deployment at KGMU is poised to redefine healthcare sanitation standards by providing frontline healthcare providers with a safe and sterile environment said Prof. Soniya Nityanand, VC, KGMU.

In a parallel endeavor, BHS Robotics further demonstrated its groundbreaking technology with the successful pilot deployment of the IMDR at the ENT department of Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra, on March 17th, 2024. Supported by Green Gas Limited’s CSR program, this initiative reinforces BHS Robotics’ dedication to empowering frontline medical personnel with cutting-edge solutions.

The pilot deployments were met with enthusiastic participation from medical professionals, who engaged in insightful discussions on the IMDR’s technology and its potential applications in healthcare settings. Prof. Ankush Sharma, Professor-in-Charge at SIIC, IIT Kanpur, and Mr. Piyush Mishra, COO of SIIC-IIT Kanpur, played pivotal roles in facilitating discussions, underscoring SIIC’s commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship.
