UAE gets new AI petrol stations that remember your car

Share via:

ADNOC Distribution has announced the opening of three new artificial intelligence-powered fuel stations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The UAE’s largest fuel and convenience retailer, ADNOC, launched the ADNOC Fill & Go station, making it the region’s first fuel distributor to implement AI technology at its service stations.

The AI-powered solution makes use of the most recent advancements in computer vision technologies, including machine-learning models that enable computers to recognise vehicles and respond by providing a hyper-personalized fueling experience. Customers can simply enter an ADNOC station that supports the new service after registering their vehicle on the ADNOC Distribution app, and smart cameras will automatically identify the vehicle. At the pump, the stored data of the customer is used to automatically initiate the refuelling process based on the preferred fuel type and spending amount, resulting in a faster and smoother refuelling experience.
