P2PCarz, a groundbreaking peer-to-peer used car marketplace, has been honored with the Best Women-Led Startup award at IIT Kharagpur’s prestigious Empresario 2024 business model competition. The recognition comes with a significant cash prize and accolades, celebrating the innovative business model and strategic vision of the startup.

Empresario, organized annually by the Entrepreneurship Cell at IIT Kharagpur, is renowned for discovering and promoting pioneering business ideas. This year, the competition attracted over 3,000 startup entries, with more than 100 finalists presenting their ventures to a distinguished panel of mentors, investors, and industry leaders.

Tasneem Vakil, Founder of P2PCarz, led the startup to victory with a compelling presentation that impressed the jury and secured the top spot among numerous contenders. “We are thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Vakil. “Our success at Empresario 2024 underscores the strength of our business model and our commitment to revolutionizing the used car market in India.”

P2PCarz, launched in 2022 by founders Tasneem Vakil and Rehman Qureshi, operates as a two-sided marketplace that connects individual buyers and sellers of used cars directly. The platform is designed to simplify transactions and eliminate the need for traditional dealers, providing a peer-to-peer alternative that empowers users to buy and sell cars with confidence.
