Microsoft’s ‘mixed-reality’ headsets that impressed US Army are now available in the UAE

The technology that wowed the US Army enough to sign a $22 billion deal with Microsoft is now available in the UAE.

According to a Forrester Total Economic Impact report, Microsoft’s HoloLens 2 mixed reality headset delivers a 177 percent return on investment over three years and reduces training costs by up to 75 percent. It is now available in the UAE through sole distributor Redington. According to Microsoft’s website, the HoloLens 2 prices range from $3,500 for the standard version to $5,200 for the Trimble XR10 model. Microsoft has the first-mover advantage, with leading technology companies such as Meta and Google entering the segment.
