Tata Steel collaborates with drone startup Aarav Unmanned Systems for mining and mapping solutions

Tata Steel and Bengaluru-based drone startup Aarav Unmanned Systems (AUS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop and offer end-to-end integrated drone solutions with a focus on open cast mining operations’ efficiency, safety, and productivity.

AUS manufactures commercial-grade drones and offers drone-based solutions for mining, infrastructure, urban planning, irrigation, energy, and agriculture. Its complete solutions include a drone, an operator, and a data analysis cloud platform. Tata Steel will also collaborate with AUS to provide drone-based solutions to Tata Steel group companies across various stocks and mining locations in India, such as mine analytics and geotechnical mapping.
