Delhi government plans to launch an app-based premium bus service

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced his government’s plan to “provide good premium quality bus service” so that people abandon their private vehicles in favour of public transportation.

Mr Kejriwal said on Twitter that the Delhi government met with its Transport Department to discuss how to use the existing fleet of buses more efficiently and how to integrate all modes of public transportation, among other things. “How can Delhi’s existing bus fleet be used most effectively? How many more buses are required? How can all modes of transportation be integrated? Today, I met with senior transportation officials to discuss the “Route rationalisation” proposal. We will soon solicit public feedback on the matter “read through his tweet Mr. Kejriwal also mentioned soliciting public feedback on the idea of launching an app-based bus aggregator scheme.
