TikTok is testing a new tool that improves the search capabilities of the well-known short-form video app

TikTok is now testing a new tool that improves the search capabilities of the well-known short-form video app. The new function highlights keywords in comments and provides links to the term’s search results.

Users can currently find content and trends using TikTok’s search functionality, but the additional feature would expand the app’s search capabilities. The test feature also demonstrates TikTok’s interest in rivalling Google’s core products, demonstrating that it isn’t content to only compete with its social media rivals. It appears that a small number of people who are taking part in a restricted test currently have access to the feature. When we contacted TikTok for comment regarding the test, a representative stated the firm had nothing to share at the time.
