Rusk Media raised over $9.5 million in Series A led by DAOL Investment and Audacity Ventures

Digital entertainment startup Rusk Media raised over $9.5 million in its follow-on Series A led by Seoul-based DAOL Investment and Audacity Ventures where existing investors–InfoEdge Ventures, Mistry Ventures and Survam Partners also participated.

Rusk Media creates content for millennials and Generation Z. It operates two platforms, Alright! and Playground, which, according to the startup, have over 500 million monthly viewers. Rusk Media intends to scale its content with OTT partners in India and around the world. In addition, it intends to build a UGC-led social gaming platform that will allow developers to create games using its IP assets. According to one report, the country’s media and entertainment sector is expected to reach $55-$70 billion by 2030, with a CAGR of 17% by 2023.
