Edtech startup BrightCHAMPS acquired live-learning platform for kids, Schola

Edtech startup BrightCHAMPS acquired Singapore-based live-learning platform for kids, Schola, in a $15 Mn cash and stock deal.

The acquisition was the edtech unicorn’s second, following its February 2022 acquisition of Education10x, another edtech startup. Schola is a platform that provides a variety of courses for children aged 4 to 15 in a live, one-on-one class setting. Communication and public speaking are two of the available courses. Schola also focuses on first-generation English speakers, giving them hands-on practise with spoken English. The startup is currently present in 12 countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Japan, and Malaysia.
