Disney Star transfers TV rights to ZEE while retaining digital rights for ICC events

Disney Star announced that it has leased ZEE Entertainment Enterprises its television broadcasting rights for all men’s and under-19 (U-19) global International Cricket Council (ICC) events for a four-year term from 2024 to 2027. (ZEE).

For its Disney+Hotstar platform, Disney Star will continue to hold the digital streaming rights for all ICC competitions. The financial details of the agreement were kept between the two parties. According to ZEE Entertainment, the ICC has given the agreement its in-principle approval. The agreement will allow ZEE to broadcast all ICC men’s events in the nation, including the T20 World Cup scheduled for 2024 and 2026, the ICC Champions Trophy scheduled for 2025, and the ICC Cricket World Cupscheduled to be held in 2027, among others.
