Zomato reappointed Info Edge’s cofounder Sanjeev Bikhchandani as the non-executive director

Foodtech major Zomato reappointed Info Edge’s cofounder Sanjeev Bikhchandani as the non-executive director on its board.

According to stock exchange filings, the resolution was passed at Zomato’s annual general meeting (AGM), which was held for the first time on August 30th after the company went public. During the AGM, Zomato’s stakeholders also acknowledged its audited financial statements for FY21-22. During the AGM, 98.9% of shareholders (6.1 Bn voters) voted in favour of reappointing Bikhchandani as the startup’s non-executive director, while the remaining 1.09% (67.4 Mn) voted against this proposition. Zomato was trading at INR 59.70 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on September 2nd at the time of filing the report.
