Blockchain unicorn 5ire acquired a stake in Network Capital, a mentorship and career advancement platform (NC). NC will be rebranded as ‘NC powered by 5ire’ following the acquisition.
However, it did not reveal the amount of stake purchased or the financial details of the transaction. NC is a subscription-based career content community platform with over a million experts that assists users in developing their careers through peer mentoring and coaching. NC’s faculty includes former Pepsico chairperson and CEO Indra Nooyi, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, Sheroes founder and CEO Sairee Chahal, and economist Sanjeev Sanyal, according to its website. Acquiring NC gives 5ire access to human capital, according to the blockchain startup, who adds that it will help 5ire build a talent pipeline and gain access to the best minds on the planet.
