WhatsApp introduces “Call Links” for a new and convenient way to join or begin a call

WhatsApp introduces “Call Links” which provide users with a new and convenient way to join or begin a call. Users will be able to send a link to initiate an audio or video call or join one that is already in progress using Call Links.

This will make life much easier for users, as they will be able to send links to people who are not on their contact list, allowing them to participate in the conversation without much difficulty. Despite WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart’s announcement today, the feature will be available this week. Unfortunately, no word on whether this will be available to Android or iOS users, or both. There were also no instructions on how to use the feature. Separately, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Facebook that WhatsApp would begin testing encrypted video calling with up to 32 users.
