Online music learning and community platform Artium Academy raised $3 million in funds led by tech-focused venture capital firm Chiratae Ventures whrere other early-stage investors like Anicut Capital, Jet Synthesis, and Whiteboard Capital as well as several entrepreneurs like Madhusudhan R, cofounder of M2P Finance; Priyamvada Balaji, executive director of Lucas Indian Service; Varun Alagh, cofounder of Mamaearth; Piyush Shah, cofounder of InMobi Group; and Vikas Dosala, cofounder of Fraazo, also participated.
Artium Academ provides music education through the use of modern pedagogy and technology. It provides music lessons and courses through one-on-one live classes. Artium Academy will use the new funds to accelerate its plans to develop new offerings and expand into new markets, particularly among the diaspora population outside of India, according to cofounder Vivek Raicha. The funding will also be used to invest in product and content-led organic channels for learner acquisition by the startup.
