Google announced that it has partnered with the government of Assam to promote digital-led learning and skill development for the state’s students and youth.
Google will work with the Assam Government’s Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department (SEED) to improve school digitisation efforts by providing learning tools and solutions. The ‘Be Internet Awesome’ programme would also teach schoolchildren the fundamentals of online safety and digital citizenship. According to a statement, Google will provide scholarships for Google Career Certificates to Assamese youth in collaboration with the Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM).
