Signal-based trading and investment startup Investmint raised $2 million in seed led by Nexus Venture Partners. The new funding will be used to expand the startup’s product, engineering, and quantitative research teams.

Investmint’s mission is to democratise data-driven, do-it-yourself investing for retail investors in equity and other exchange-traded asset classes. The Investmint trading and investing app, which is currently in open Beta with early adopters, will be widely released in the coming weeks. The company provides simple investing and trading tools that enable investors to make confident investment decisions, participate in markets systematically, and manage their money using data-backed signals, active investing tools, and an active community.
