Ola Electric Scooters sold 20,000 units in October 2022

Ola Electric reported sales of 20,000 units of its electric scooters in October 2022. The company, which sells electric scooters S1 and S1 Pro, reported a strong holiday season performance.

It had a strong festive season, with a 4x increase over its daily run rate during Navratras and a 10x increase on Vijayadashami, according to a company statement. On average, Ola Electric produces 1,000 units per day. Ola has grown by more than 60% month on month, while the overall two-wheeler EV industry has grown by nearly 30%. After opening bookings for its electric scooters S1 Pro and S1 at Rs 499 in July last year, the company began the online purchase process in September 2021. It had planned to begin deliveries in October, but this was pushed back to November and then to the second half of December last year.
