Apple to shift some iPad production from China to India

Apple executives are reportedly in talks with Indian government officials about shifting some iPad production from China to India.

According to sources close to the situation, while no concrete plans have been made, discussions are currently underway. The move is expected to expand Apple’s manufacturing capabilities in India. By the end of the next fiscal year, Apple will have surpassed Samsung as the largest smartphone exporter. In the second quarter of 2022, Apple shipped nearly 1.2 million smartphones made in India.
