Turkey-based freight management startup Kamion raised $2 million in SEED round from Y Combinator, Soma Capital, Logo Ventures, and Cathexis Ventures.

Kamion specialises in moving cargo (particularly trucks and “full truckload,” FTL, and freight forwarding) throughout Turkey and neighbouring countries. By aggregating SME fleets in a single software platform and having them serve large enterprise customers, the startup is helping to scale an outdated industry. According to Kamion, it uses software, data analytics, and operational excellence to connect businesses in need of trucks with trucks in need of loads.
