Viacom18 may combine digital streaming platforms into a single app

Share via:

Reliance Industries and Viacom-owned entertainment network Viacom18 is reportedly looking to consolidate its various digital streaming platforms into a single super app.

According to ET, the Viacom18 super app could include JioCinema, VOOT, VOOT Select, and VOOT Kids. For the time being, Reliance has brought all of its sports IPs to JioCinema, beginning with the FIFA World Cup 2022. The app offers free live streaming of the World Cup. A super app is not a novel concept in India, as Paytm and Tata have already built one.
