Flipkart becomes first Indian e-commerce company to pledge to use only renewable energy by 2030

Share via:

Flipkart announced that it has committed to sourcing 100% of its electricity needs from renewable sources for its entire operations by 2030.

According to a statement from Flipkart, the action is consistent with its net zero commitments to lessen the impacts of Scope 1 and 2 climate change by 2030. According to Flipkart, it already sources 14% of its electricity needs from renewable sources. Flipkart declared that it has accepted the Climate Group’s RE100 commitment and will work to increase its portfolio of renewable energy sources, including both distributed and grid-scale projects. By 2030, Flipkart promised to gradually transition its entire delivery fleet to electric vehicles (EVs).
