Epic Games, the creator of the video game Fortnite, has reportedly filed a case against Google in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) in New Delhi, alleging that the tech giant has failed to comply with the Competition Commission of India’s order (CCI).

According to Reuters, the US-based gaming company claimed that Google is not hosting its app on its Play Store, which is in violation of the CCI’s order requiring the company to allow third-party apps on its Play Store and allow users to install other apps via sideloading. Last year, the CCI fined Google a total of INR 2,274 Cr in two separate cases relating to the tech giant’s anti-competitive practises in India. While the tech giant was fined INR 1,337.7 Cr in the Android device case, Google was penalised INR 936 Cr for its one-sided Play Store policies.
