The latest episode of Shark Tank India 2 begins with Karan Jindal and Taniya Dhirasaria introducing their holistic health and wellness brand Zoe, which offers a variety of services such as personalised health plans and expert interaction. They are proud of their large customer base. They describe how their brand came to be. Their asking price is Rs 75 lakh for 5% equity. Sharks sample their wares. The founders surprise the sharks by revealing that their revenue has dropped from Rs 10 crore to Rs 3 crore. It forced them to reduce their team from 40 to just a few members. They say it was because they had back-to-back babies.
Aman Gupta questions their relaxed demeanour. “I hate you for abandoning this kid (business),” he adds. He declines. Amit Jain is also not convinced. Namita Thapar believes that fresh juice is preferable to packaged juice. Anupam Mittal believes their diet and brand in general are ineffective. He continues, “You understand that jo aap kar rahe ho main usko paap maanta hun. You’re giving me a detox diet, but you’re also putting sugar and carbohydrates in my body, which makes me hungry. In my opinion, it is not business, but rather cheating.” Peyush Bansal advises them to learn from their mistakes. They make no investments in the brand.
