Foodtech platform Zomato approached several restaurant chains seeking a 2-6% increase in commissions as its losses widen and the pressure to go profitable mounts. These restaurant owners, however, have refused to accept the demand.

The company has been reaching out to restaurants for a week, according to sources cited by ET. According to the sources, Zomato has informed the restaurants that they may be delisted. The foodtech company has also reportedly informed its restaurant partners that if they fail to meet its demand, it will reduce their visibility and delivery radius. Many restaurants, however, are reportedly sticking to their guns, sparking a new conflict between Zomato and restaurants.
