Insurance Leaders Gather to Explore the Future and Impact of Technology on the Insurance sector at Insuretek 2023 Dubai Edition

Scheduled from 22 – 23rd February 2023, the lauded insurance event, InsureTek 2023, successfully concluded in Dubai. Organized by Biz Events Management, the event brought together top industry stakeholders, decision-makers, and experts under a single roof. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi, Hon. Former Minister of Environment & Water Government of the UAE and H.E. Fareed Lutfi, the Secretary-General of the Emirates Insurance Association and Gulf insurance association were the esteemed guests at the event.

The two-day conference majorly focused on the recent tech trends that are reshaping the insurance sector. Starting with the significant changes that the industry is undergoing to lure Gen Z and millennials to how Metaverse can be integrated into the sector’s operations, Insurance leaders and experts reflected on the future, the impact of technology on the sector, and the opportunities that lie ahead. An interesting panel discussion on how embedded Insurance will enhance value propositions to create new revenue streams, and how the insurance industry will re-think its business model and deliver greater value to the market was also discussed.

Golden Shield Awards 2023 were also bestowed upon the ‘Bravehearts’ of the Insurance industry who have made a significant contribution to the industry and demonstrated innovative and visionary leadership. Industry veteran Mr. Omer Elamin, President of Orient Insurance was bestowed with Lifetime Achievement Award – Management and Mr. Atinc Yilmaz, Howden Regional CEO for Turkey, North Africa & The CIS Countries and Chairman of Multinational Clients Practice TMEA was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award – Leadership. Mr. Frederik Bisjberg, Senior advisor and expert, Digital Transformation / Head of MENA, the Digital Insurer was presented with InsureTek – Excellence in Professional Services, and Mr. Aftab Hasan, Chairman, Risk Exchange (DIFC) Limited and CEO, Arya Insurance Brokerage Co. (Bayzat) won the Personality of the Year award.
