Ex-Flipkart exec’s Flash app aspires to be your e-commerce inbox

A former executive from the Indian e-commerce giant, Flipkart, has launched a new app that aims to simplify the online shopping experience. Piyush Ranjan, who worked at Flipkart for over six years, has unveiled his new app called Flash, which he describes as an “inbox for your e-commerce needs.”

Flash, which is currently available on both Android and iOS platforms, brings together all the e-commerce apps a user may have on their phone and presents them in one place. With Flash, users can access all their favourite online shopping platforms, including Amazon, Myntra, and Flipkart, from one convenient app.

The app also features a personalised feed that uses machine learning algorithms to curate product recommendations based on the user’s browsing history and previous purchases. The idea is to provide users with a tailored shopping experience that eliminates the need for them to navigate through multiple apps.

Ranjan believes that Flash can help users save time and effort, as they no longer need to open individual apps to browse and purchase products. Instead, they can simply use Flash as their central hub for all their online shopping needs.

Speaking about his app, Ranjan said, “Flash was born out of my own frustration with the cluttered e-commerce landscape. I found it difficult to keep track of all the apps and products I was interested in. With Flash, we wanted to create a simplified and intuitive experience that makes shopping online more convenient and enjoyable.”

Flash has already garnered interest from investors, with the app recently raising $150,000 in seed funding. The funds will be used to further develop the app’s features and expand its user base.
