RAS, a Farm-To-Face D2C Beauty Startup, Secures Funding to Expand Product Line and Reach

Share via:

RAS is a startup based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India that specializes in creating natural cosmetics and personal care products using ingredients that are sourced locally from organic farms or local farmers and manufacturers. The company claims to be growing at a rate of 300% year-on-year since its inception in 2017.

Recently, RAS has raised $1.5 million from Green Frontier Capital (GFC), with support from its existing investors. This new funding will be used to expand the company’s product offerings, increase its workforce, and penetrate deeper into the Indian beauty and personal care industry. RAS is also building touchpoints throughout India via omnichannel format and strengthening its brand presence by partnering with relevant channels.

RAS retails through different e-commerce platforms such as Nykaa, Amazon, Blinkit, Flipkart, among others, and has its own D2C website. The company aims to bring innovation to its product offerings and expand its market presence to further drive growth.

The Indian beauty and personal care market is expected to reach USD 33.33 billion by 2027, according to a study by Research and Markets. While there has been a slowdown in funding towards the end of FY22, the industry continues to see actors and celebrities investing in beauty and personal care startups.
