Netflix enhances “My List” feature with new filters for mobile users

Netflix is introducing new filters to enhance the “My List” feature for iOS and Android users, making it easier to search and organize saved movies and TV shows. The streaming service started rolling out the update on Monday, offering options to sort titles by release date, alphabetical order, type (movie or TV show), and the date they were added to the list. The most notable additions are the “Haven’t Started” and “Started” filters, which allow users to quickly identify titles they have or haven’t begun watching yet. These filters are particularly beneficial for users with extensive lists who need to navigate through their saved content more efficiently.

Previously, the My List feature lacked any filters, requiring mobile users to scroll through their list to find specific titles. The update will first be available to Android users, while iOS users can expect the upgrade in the coming weeks.

In addition to the filters, Netflix has also implemented a swipe feature that allows subscribers to delete films or series directly from the list by swiping on the title cards. Previously, users had to tap on the title, navigate to the details page, and select the My List checkmark icon to remove it.

It’s important to note that these updates are exclusive to mobile users, as Netflix currently has no immediate plans to roll out the enhancements for TVs. The My List feature was initially introduced by Netflix in 2013.

Furthermore, Netflix is introducing a new “Coming Soon” row on the TV home screen, which will be available to all subscribers globally in the coming weeks. This addition will allow TV users to quickly discover and anticipate upcoming titles directly from the home page, complementing the existing “New & Popular” tab.
