The UAE has unveiled a new AI-powered chatbot called “U-Ask” on the Government’s official portal, offering a unified platform for accessing government services. The chatbot utilizes generative AI technology to provide information in both Arabic and English, including service requirements, relevant details based on user preferences, and direct application links.
Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and The Future, and Chairperson of the Higher Committee for Government Digital Transformation, emphasized that the platform would enhance the government’s digital efforts, integrate projects, and improve system efficiency. The committee continuously works on upgrading infrastructure and systems to deliver streamlined services that cater to people’s needs.
Mohamed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services for the UAE Government, highlighted the user-friendly nature of the chatbot, enabling flexible access to government services. The goal is to provide a smoother and simpler user experience, serving various groups and sectors within and outside the country. The 24/7 information and support service represents another step towards the UAE’s global leadership in delivering excellent government services.
Developed in collaboration with Microsoft and PwC Middle East, the chatbot aims to address a wide range of inquiries and requests, from basic information to complex service inquiries. It offers comprehensive answers and personalized recommendations based on users’ preferences and previous interactions. The introduction of the U-Ask chatbot aligns with the UAE Government’s commitment to enhance digital services and provide efficient solutions to citizens and residents alike.
