Standard Chartered Bank recently said it has appointed Zuzar Tinwalla as its Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTOO) for its operations in India and South Asia.
Zuzar Tinwalla will be succeeding Sarabjit Anand, who has chosen to explore opportunities outside of Standard Chartered.
Who is Zuzar Tinwalla?
Having been associated with the Bank for 26 years, Zuzar previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer.
The bank said that Zuzar has been instrumental in leading diverse teams within the realms of Operations and Technology.
Zuzar, who was earlier the Chief Operating Officer, has been with the Bank for 26 years, leading various teams across Operations and Technology with a key focus on execution and finding innovative ways to leverage digital solutions to enable growth and scale.
The bank further said that his in-depth knowledge and expertise across operations will be a key driver for executing the Bank’s strategy.
What will be the Responsibilities in his new role?
In his new role, Zuzar will be joining the TTO Asia Management Team (MT) while maintaining his position within the India Country MT.
However, it’s noteworthy that his appointment is pending regulatory approval or necessary filings.
