Microsoft has released a non-security preview update for Windows 11, version 23H2, in compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in the European Economic Area (EEA). The update includes changes such as clearer identification of operating system functionality, the ability to uninstall and reinstall certain apps, and the option to turn off the Microsoft News and ads feed on the Widgets Board. Windows 11 will also remember users’ set defaults for web browsers and email clients, and prompt users in the EEA to sync their Microsoft accounts. Additionally, Microsoft is introducing Copilot in Windows 10 for devices running version 22H2.
