Einblick, founded by researchers from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Brown University, has spent the past four years pioneering AI-native collaboration platforms that enable users to solve complex data problems with just one sentence. The acquisition by Databricks will allow Einblick’s ideas to be more effectively extended through deep integration with Databricks’ underlying data catalogue.
This acquisition is part of Databricks’ strategic expansion efforts, which include previous acquisitions such as Arcion, MosaicML, Rubicon, and Okera. These acquisitions align with Databricks’ overarching vision of making large-scale model training more accessible to enterprises of all sizes, enabling them to create AI applications that better understand their data.
