Bold Care plans to deploy the fresh capital to bolster its presence in non-metro cities, scale its D2C platform, and further strengthen its research and development function

Bold Care started as a D2C men’s health and wellness startup, and recently entered the women’s health and wellness space with the launch of a new brand, Bloom

D2C sexual wellness startup Bold Care has raised $5 Mn (around INR 43 Cr) in its Series A funding round led by Zerodha’s Rainmatter. The round also saw participation from CaratlLane founder Mithun Sacheti, Jaipur Diamond’s Siddhartha Sacheti, Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund, Claris Capital, among others.

The startup plans to deploy the fresh capital to bolster its presence in non-metro cities, scale its D2C platform and further strengthen its research and development function.

Founded in 2019 by Rajat Jadhav, Rahul Krishnan, Harsh Singh and Mohit Yadav, Bold Care started as a D2C men’s health and wellness startup. Its product portfolio includes condoms, lubes, chewables and gummies. It sells its products via its website, Amazon, Flipkart, and quick commerce platforms such as BlinkIt, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, among others.

It raised about $6.5 Mn before the Series A round from investors like NB Ventures, AVT Group, 4Point0, among others. Actor Ranveer Singh has also invested in the startup and assumed the title of cofounder in December 2023.

The sexual wellness brand claims to have registered a turnover of INR 32.9 Cr in the fiscal year 2023-24 (FY24) and crossed ARR of INR 100 Cr in December 2024.

“Our D2C website is scaling fast, so this capital will allow us to bring our services to Tier II and III ecosystems,” Bold Care cofounder and CEO Jadhav said on the funding.

In October, the startup forayed into the women’s health and wellness space with the launch of a new brand, Bloom. Under Bloom, it offers solutions focussed on women’s health issues across various life stages. The brand’s product range includes solutions for sexual health, hygiene and period care.

Jadhav said that the new brand is receiving around 16,000 orders per month.

The fundraise comes at a time when competition in the sexual wellness space is heating up. While startups like MyMuse, Sassiest, among others, have made a name for themselves, many established players are also looking at expanding their play in the segment.
