Samsung will invest an additional ₹1,000 crore in its manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister Dr TRB Rajaa announced on Thursday.

The expansion, expected to generate 100 new jobs, highlights the electronics giant’s commitment to the State, the minister said. The factory produces key consumer appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines, and plays a significant role in Samsung’s India revenue.
