Cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has reportedly sought the help of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk to enhance the security of his Twitter account. Ashwin, who has over 10 million followers on the social media platform, is said to be concerned about the increasing number of cyberattacks and attempts to hack into high-profile accounts.

Twitter has been a target of several cyber attacks in recent years, including the infamous hack in 2020 that saw the accounts of high-profile individuals and companies being compromised. In light of this, Ashwin has decided to take proactive measures to safeguard his account from potential threats.

In a tweet addressed to Elon Musk, Ashwin requested tech assistance in strengthening the security of his Twitter account. Musk, who has previously spoken about the need for increased cybersecurity measures, is yet to respond to the cricketer’s request.

Ashwin twitted, “Ok !! how do I get my Twitter account secure before the 19th of March now, I keep getting pop ups but none of the links lead out to any clarity. @elonmusk happy to do the needful. Point us in the right direction pls”.

Meanwhile, Twitter users suggested,

  • “Try the authenticator app. Use it for additional security”
  • “Verified accounts can you use SMS option for multi factor authentication. Non-verified users need to use the app Authenticator for MFA after the cut Date. No SMS auth after the cutoff date. Settings in security page,” another said.
  • A user mockingly replied, “Just share ur password with me I’ll secure it by changing to a stronger password”.

This shows the growing concern among high-profile individuals about the security of their online accounts, and the increasing need for enhanced cybersecurity measures in the digital age.
