Ooredoo Partners with ASN to Build Fibre in Gulf Submarine Cable
Ooredoo Group has signed an agreement with Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) to construct the Fibre in Gulf (FIG) submarine cable system, enhancing regional connectivity across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). “Ooredoo’s investment will support the growth of cloud services, big data initiatives, and the acceleration of digital transformation across the region,” according to the Group’s announcement on January 30, 2025.
